Website privacy
Updated 8 September 2026
This page covers the RockLens website. For scan photos, purchases and your collection in the app, see our app privacy policy.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views, visits, referring websites and page performance. Its script sends information about the page, referrer and browser performance to Cloudflare, which presents aggregate reports to us.
The analytics script does not use cookies or browser storage and does not track people across websites. Cloudflare receives the IP address needed to handle the network request and says it discards it at its nearest data centre rather than storing it in its analytics databases or logs. See Cloudflare’s explanation of its analytics data.
We do not install this script on the app privacy-policy or privacy-choices pages. Browser blocking and repeated visits can affect counts, so visits are not a count of distinct people. We do not use an advertising pixel. Our theme switch saves your light or dark preference in your browser.
Download links
When you follow a download button, our server redirects you to the App Store. We count these requests to learn which pages and buttons people use. Each measurement record contains the day, a fixed page-and-button label, and the redirect status.
These download records do not contain IP addresses, browser details, referrers, cookies or visitor identifiers. They are separate from Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Download records are rotated daily and kept for up to 31 days. We exclude recognized crawler and prefetch requests where possible. Counts can still include repeated visits or automation, so they do not represent unique people.
App Store attribution
Download links include a fixed campaign label for this website and our Apple developer-account token. These values are the same for every visitor; they are not personal identifiers. Apple uses them to report campaign activity in App Store Connect under its own privacy rules and reporting thresholds. Our website does not receive your Apple Account identity.
Website delivery and contact
Our hosting server and Cloudflare process the network information needed to deliver and protect the website. The limited download records described above are separate from those infrastructure systems. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.
